TOPAZ. This gem is one of the most popular on the market. Yet obtaining decent rough is a trying search through all the commercial leftovers. Our selection is right from the source. As with most blue topaz, our rough has undergone treatment  here in the USA. We have also gone the extra step as all of the rough below is preformed (except the Pink Topaz, this is a natural) and 100% clean! Crown angles are between 40⁰ and 50⁰ degrees. Pavilion is 43⁰. Hardness is 7.5. Polishes easily with Linde A and tin or Spectra and Cerium Ultralaps.

Swiss Blue Topaz.  Random shaped pieces in a beautiful rich sky blue color. Pieces range from 15 to 25  carats. Did we say this rough has excellent color? This was probably our best valued buy at the recent Tucson show.
