This section contains all our Silicon Carbide and Diamond discs, belts, and polishing pads/belts. SILICON CARBIDE BELTS and DISCS. These belts are used with our expanding drums. The Silicon Carbide is bonded to a tough waterproof backing and can be used for either wet or dry sanding. Smooth joints eliminate bumps. Use with expanding drums. Weight 4 oz. each. Eastwind Diamond Sanding Belts and Pads. Eastwind diamond sanding belts and pads are resin bonded giving a nice smooth finish, especially after working a few stones. Our professional people tell us they are the longest lasting belts they have ever used. In fact, under normal use, our belts will last 50 to 100 times longer than silicon carbide abrasives! Custom Sizes - Graves can supply our Eastwind brand of diamond belts and discs in almost any size you need. Belts can be joined or made as a continuous length for split drums. To determine the cost, simply calculate the area of your belt/disc in square inches. Multiply the area by $1.00 to determine your price. Example: You need a 42 inch long and 3 inch wide belt for your belt sander. 42 x 3 = 126 square inches. 126 square inches x $1.00 = $126.00. Email us your requirements. Shipping normally takes 4-5 days after you place your order for custom sizes, some sizes may take longer.
MIRACLE LAP. Diamond impregnated on a cloth backing. Can be used on any disc type cabbing machine such as the Cabmate. These full faced discs are color coded for easy identification. Available in 220 grit, 600 grit, and 1200 grit.
LEATHER DISCS. These top grade cowhide leather discs are used for polishing with any of the oxide compounds.
CRYSTALBELTS. Make your own polishing belts using polishing powders or diamond compound. These belts are used with our expanding drums. Made with a resin treated fabric that can be charged with your favorite polish or any diamond compound. Designed to smooth and polish, not rough grinding. Sold 3 belts per package.
COMPOSITION DISC. Economical Backing Disc. Used to hold diamond discs or any silicon carbide disc for cabbing. The soft sponge rubber, is cemented to a 1/4 inch thick hardboard backing. The sanding or polishing discs are attached to the rubber with disc adhesive. 6inch diameter with a 1/2 inch arbor hole.
FLEX-O-DISC. These discs are made from a hard rubber to act as a backing disc for cabbing. Rigid yet will flex as you get to the outer edges. Supplied with 1/4-20 threads for use with the CabMate or a shaft adaptor listed below.
SPONGE DISC. Used as a soft backing for other sanding and polishing pads. PSA backed.
FELT DISC. Great for polishing with oxide polishing agents. These hard felt discs are just the thing when undercutting is not a problem. Especially recommended for glass, agate, and opal.
CRYSTALPADS. These resin treated, canvas-like pads are used for polishing gems with diamond compound. The pad is easily charged with the diamond compound of your choice and mounted on a backing disc such as our Quick Disc or Flex-O-Disc. Available in both Blue for holding grits coarser than 3000 and White for grits finer than 3000.
POLY-PADS POLISHING PADS. These man-made leather fabric pads are recommended for use when using 300 grit or finer diamond compounds. They are also excellent when using conventional agents such as Linde A, cerium oxide, and tin oxide. The Poly-Tex pads are not as hard as Crystalpads and work great on most gem materials.
